Senior Research Fellow (Aerospace Engineering/Operation Research/Computer Sciences)

The Air Traffic Management Research Institute (ATMRI) invites applications for the position of Senior Research Fellow.
Under the Air Traffic Management Research Institute (ATMRI) (http://atmri.ntu.edu.sg/), Nanyang Technological University, you will be part of a research team to do research on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics with applications to Air Traffic Management Systems and Airspace Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and support research and development related to Agent-based, Optimization, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics applied to air traffic safety assessment and airspace/flow management in a mixed airspace operations.
- Develop algorithms and computational models (Deep learning, Neural Netrworks, evolutionary computation, multi-agent, etc), perform data mining, doing analytics for dynamic airspace planning, flight trajectory prediction, traffic flow management, etc.
- Assist the PI and work closely with the team regarding project management.
Job Requirements:
- PhD Degree in Aerospace Engineering/Operation Research/Computer Sciences, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of post-doctoral experience in research-based position.
- Experienced in writing research grant proposals.
- Ability to initiate and lead collaborative projects.
- Experienced in training and supervising of students and/or junior staff.
- Able to present research progress at internal and external meetings, seminars, and/or conferences.
- Have publications in peer reviewed conferences and Q1/Q2 journals.
- Programming Experience: excellent skills in Python, Java, Matlab (at least one).
- Solid experience with big data analytics.
- Demonstrated project experience related to Machine Learning and computational modelling applied to Air Traffic Management.
- Good English writing and communication skills.
