About the Role
Join Swinburne University’s dynamic research group to lead and contribute to groundbreaking projects in IoT, Machine Vision, and Intelligent Robotics. This role offers the chance to spearhead research across diverse industry applications such as Digital Health, Industry 4.0, and Smart Cities. As a successful applicant, you will drive innovation by developing digital solutions with a primary focus on IoT, Machine Vision, and Robotics, shaping the future of industries.
The Senior Research Fellow at Swinburne Universitys Digital Innovation Lab, part of the School of Science, Computing, and Engineering Technologies, collaborates closely with colleagues across departments, especially the Factory of the Future. This pivotal role involves leading industry-funded R&D projects, developing innovative proof-of-concept solutions, securing external industry funding through grant writing, and supervising PhD, Masters, and Bachelors capstone/internship projects.
The successful candidate will spearhead the translation of research findings into practical solutions for industry projects, focusing on Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Vision, and Intelligent Robotics. Essential to the role is the capability to comprehend and effectively address the business requirements of industry partners, integrating these needs into the development of proof-of-concept technical solutions. Working within a collaborative team of multidisciplinary scientists, engineers, and subject matter experts is a fundamental aspect of this position.
