Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Senior Release and Deployment Coordinator
to join Digital Business Solution, Academic Division.
The Release and Deployment Coordinator plays a key role in leading, managing and coordinating the software and systems releases across the Student and Stakeholder Portfolio. They establish and maintain effective relationships to develop the deployment and implementation plans. This position will work closely with the teams from within the portfolio, other DBS delivery partner teams and stakeholder groups across QUT.
This position aims to maintain and deliver the annual release schedule for Student and Stakeholder portfolio, ensuring that system change is delivered with the appropriate release and deployment process and risk consideration.

Digital Business Solutions (DBS) provides support for staff and students across a range of information and technology services. DBS uses technology to create value for our students and customers through the portfolios of Learning and Teaching, Research and Innovation, and Professional Services.
DBS embraces digital transformation as being fundamental to our service in supporting QUT’s aspirations outlined in Blueprint 6.
Digital Business Solutions is responsible for a wide range of services in delivering and supporting digital solutions for QUT. DBS comprises seven business units with dynamic knowledge and expertise that work collectively with the University’s Faculties, Institutes and Divisions to provide quality Digital Solutions and Services in support of both QUT’s Strategic Objectives and in core operations for learning and teaching, research and innovation and professional services.
What you need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you will be someone who enjoys taking the initiative to provide excellent service and support across a broad range of activities each day.
You will demonstrate:
1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications, in conjunction with extensive relevant experience.
2. Demonstratable experience in developing and successfully executing implementation plans for changes, initiatives or projects.
3. Demonstratable experience in the management of software/systems change deployment across multiple environments, including production utilising both internal and external technical teams.
4. Highly effective time management skills, to effectively schedule and manage a development and release plan across both a business as usual and project environment.
5. Proven IT service/operations management expertise, including but not limited to the following components:
– Change Control and Release Management
– Testing Management
– Change management
– Service, Incident and Problem Management
6. Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve consensus on complex issues.

Remuneration: Total remuneration range: $120,388 to $136,408 pa (HEW8) (inclusive of $101,687 to $115,266 pa salary; 17% superannuation; and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
