Senior Recruitment Officer (Midlands and North)

About The Role
Falmouth University’s ambitious 2030 Strategy, ‘Doing it for Real’, is designed to deliver yet further growth in our student numbers and income through portfolio diversification, innovation, research and commercial ventures. It will establish Falmouth as the market leader for creative industries and entrepreneurship education over the next decade, capitalising on our considerable assets in innovation-led research and business incubation.

Due to this growth, we are now seeking to appoint a talented and experienced Senior Recruitment Officer (UK – Midlands & North), to grow the University’s application and enrolment numbers across the Midlands and North region of the UK in line with our ambitious 2030 strategy. Working as part of the Recruitment and Outreach Team, this is a pivotal role; responsible for the development and implementation of a regional recruitment plan to drive quality applications and raise the profile of Falmouth University with stakeholders across the region.
You will work within the recruitment and outreach team as well as with academics and colleagues across the institution to support recruitment and outreach activities and engagement with key audiences, including target schools and colleges, teachers, parents, and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
About You
Working remotely, the successful candidate will be based in the Midlands with a willingness to travel further north as required. You will be a professional, creative and self-motivated individual with experience working with schools and colleges, delivering recruitment activity and meeting targets. You will be highly organised, with experience of account management, data analysis and have an evidence driven approach to strategic planning. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as you manage all aspects of recruitment and outreach activity in your region, as well as travelling more widely when required.

Outstanding interpersonal, presentation and communication skills are essential, alongside an understanding of the needs of different audiences. You should relish the opportunity to work proactively under your own initiative but be able to demonstrate a dynamic contribution to developing team strategies.

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
  • Experience of the FE/Schools sector in the UK
  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships and partnerships with leaders in schools and colleges
  • Experience in driving the recruitment process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to communicate, present, persuade and influence
