We are seeking to appoint an experienced Estates Senior Project Manager (SPM) to join the Project Management Office (PMO), reporting directly to the Head of PMO, with a wide range of responsibilities, relating to capital estate projects.

The Estates SPM will become the lead for Capital project delivery, and for the leading on our Estate transformation, by improving our facilities with an ambitious and exciting capital programme. This includes a new build development at our Tavistock Place site, and systematic refurbishment of our historic Keppel Street building, spanning the next 7-10yrs. 

The successful candidate will have substantial experience delivering Estates capital projects, with a demonstrable expierience in a senior role, with staff supervision. Experience of Higher Education and knowledge of working within listed buildings, will be viewed favourably, although not essential. The candidate will also ideally have experience in working in a Prince2-based project environment.

The role will have responsibility for LSHTM’s team of estates PM’s and APM’s who manage key strategic Capital Projects (max 5 staff), predominately delivering refurbishment projects within operational and listed buildings. Alongside this, there will be a requirement to deliver their own capital projects, alongside the team supervision. 

The post is full time. The salary will be on the Professional salary scale Grade 8 in the range £59,040 – £67,763 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
