  • Part time (0.6FTE) fixed term until 30/06/2024 offering a base salary of $111,966 (pro rata) plus leave loading and generous employer’s contribution to superannuation

About the opportunity

A collaboration between Sydney Local Health District and the University of Sydney’s Charles Perkins Centre; the InsideOut Institute aims to provide every Australian living with an eating disorder access to the best possible care by rethinking eating disorders from the ‘inside out’.

As Senior Project Manager for the institute you will have a key role in providing overall project management and guidance to support the implementation of the NSW Service Plan for eating disorders including improving clinician skills in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of eating disorders. This will include coordination of workforce development activities across NSW and contributing to key strategies and programs of work across the InsideOut.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide leadership for Eating Disorders Workforce Development across NSW. Develop the skill based clinical training curriculum and online learning modules for medical and psychological treatment of eating disorders consulting with Local Health District executives, Local Eating Disorder Coordinators and trainers

  • manage overall organisation and establishment of the Workforce Development program specific to psychological therapies, including managing all external contractors

  • manage the development and communication of the specific project, inclusive of training program, ongoing case based learning and associated clinical guidelines, ensuring common understanding of project goals, scope and deliverables

  • develop the overall project plan for the development of clinical guidelines and work with team members, and external stakeholders to build specific project plans for each phase of the development, ensuring an accurate and consistent definition of project phases, objectives, work activities and tasks, timing, milestones and deliverables for the project.

  • provide effective project management of all activities and deliverables ensuring the delivery of high quality outcomes within set budget parameters and agreed time frames

  • collaborate with a range of health professionals and consumers to implement effective user experience strategies for the training program

  • manage project team work activity, including collaboration with digital partners and web developers to ensure ongoing achievement of milestones and deliverables for the project.

About you

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • demonstrated specialist clinical knowledge of eating disorder management, treatment, evidence base and policy with extensive direct clinical experience managing a broad range of eating disorder cases and settings, including demonstrated complex clinical case management.

  • experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring and development of junior staff and students.

  • experience project managing multiple work streams or working in large complex projects and ability to work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands

  • accuracy, attention to detail and ability to organise and prioritise effectively  

  • planning, analysis and communication skills together with the ability to work to strict deadlines and manage various demands

  • excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills, and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters

  • effective ability to manage a diverse group of key stakeholders on large or complex projects, and the ability to develop/cultivate productive relationships with industry providers and key users
