Essential Functions of the Position:

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager, with at least 5 years of experience managing technical teams, to be responsible for all project management activities in support of federal government contracts for website development and digital solutions. Experience managing Drupal website design and development is desired. A collaborative mind-set, coaching, listening with an empathetic ear, guiding, facilitating, mentoring, validating, recognizing success, and remaining flexible are all key traits of a successful Sr. PM.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage technical teams working on design, development, quality assurance, and operations and maintenance of websites and digital solutions on the Drupal CMS
  • Collaborate with Operations Directors, other PMs on similar projects, and team on solutions, best practices, and evolving processes
  • Manage contract budgets, scope, schedule, and ensure timely execution, while monitoring risks, supporting resource staffing needs
  • Lead teams with accountability for completion of team delivery efforts including quality oversight and client acceptance
  • Establish trusting relationships with clients and stakeholders for long-term partnerships through collaboration, transparency, effective facilitation, regular touch points, and engagement of SMEs with the team throughout periods-of-performance

Job requirements of the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on technology and digital projects for Federal Goverment contracts
  • Provide leadership, advice, and guidance in a timely fashion to the team and customers, manage budgets and forecasting, while coaching staff simultaneously
  • Facilitate inter/intra company teamwork to achieve business goals while promoting a culture of common purpose
  • Create an inviting team environment where team members are encouraged to share ideas and opinions, feel comfortable sharing concerns, and celebrate successes
  • Agile processes experience, experience managing scrum teams and working with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to lead teams to success
  • Thorough understanding of project budgets and staffing, including recognizing achievements and areas where change may be necessary
  • Expert understanding of project management documentation (based on PM-BOK), organization, with exceptional planning for the smallest to largest tasks, presentations, meetings, etc.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, solving problems for the team and clients and creating trusted long-term relationships with clients
  • Creativity, resourcefulness and the use of original ideas, remaining open to team and client ideas with flexibility and team success in mind
  • Ability to work as a self-starter, take initiative, and execute tasks with minimal supervision, while welcoming feedback on areas for your own continual improvement
  • US Citizenship, and has registered for selective service

Preferred qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with federal government contracting and clients
  • Proven capability to strategically grow and maintain customer and teaming partner relationships
