Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible to provide project management of large facility construction, building upgrades, and renovation projects.

Qualifications:

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
• Extensive knowledge of end-to-end construction and capital project cycles
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, collective agreements, the CCDC suite of contracts, OAA DOC 6– ,RIAC Doc 600 ,Ontario Building Codes and OSHE policies and procedures
• Knowledge of construction and project management and leadership concepts practices including program/service delivery models, policy development, planning, budgeting, and performance measurement management
• Experience of construction, building upgrades, and renovation project management, program design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation methodologies, processes, and practices
• Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, collective agreements, policies and procedures
• Knowledge of office as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions

Education and Experience:

The above is normally acquired through the completion of:
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or project management
• Minimum of seven years of previous project management of facility construction, building upgrades, and renovation projects experience
• Five years of supervision and leadership experience

You are required to follow all directives to set up a safe and confidential workspace in a remote location and ensure all Carleton property (intellectual and other) is safeguarded. If required to work remotely, you will be notified by your manager when working full time physically onsite will resume.
