If you share our motivations and passion in research, come join us!Primary PurposePlease note: This is not a Clinical Project Management position. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading the incorporation of project management (PM) best practice and their applications, as well as the development of expertise to ensure consistent and effective project support. They will also make a significant contribution to the development of the maturity of Project Management Office (PMO) and its role within the organization. Responsibilities:

  • Understand the business relevance and strategy of assigned and related projects and provide input as required
  • Responsible and accountable for the management of multiple projects and/or programs to successful outcomes by the application of Project Management Institute Standards (or equivalent), best practices and other applicable PM methods
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the PMO and the research projects
  • Provide status and progress reports on all aspects of the projects
  • Build, foster and leverage key stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure quality-by-design is incorporated into every project activity and deliverable
  • Provide input into business development activities, as needed
  • Provide training, coaching and mentoring to less experienced project managers and related functions
  • Conduct effective Gap Analysis and Root Cause Analysis
  • Further the development of the PMO and its role within the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience
  • Incumbent will typically possess at least 6 years of experience in project management; 10 years total applicable experience in the drug development arena or equivalent
  • PMP certification
  • Goverment Contract experience.
  • Experience with Smartsheet is a big plus
  • Program and Portfolio Management experience a significant bonus
  • Recognized subject matter expert in Project Management and/or Program Management
  • Ability to create and foster high-performing teams
  • Ability to delegate tasks according to individual/team strengths
  • Able to interpret data with sound judgment and decision-making
  • Able to identify utilize appropriate communication channels to different audiences
  • Ability to work with minimal/no supervision
  • Skilled in appropriate software
