JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of a specific program.
  • Develops strategic plans and objectives that ensure the program’s continued success, and develops evaluation methods to assess outcomes.
  • Conducts program research and ensures that the preparation of mandatory operational, statistical, and financial reports are accurate and factual, and that all reports comply with federal and state regulations and/or institutional policies.
  • Designs training programs and materials, conducts training sessions, and represents the program at various conferences, meetings, or seminars.
  • May plan, administer, or monitor the program’s budget and/or grants, and conduct financial forecasting for the program.
  • May develop fundraising programs, including researching and identifying funding sources, and writing and submitting grant proposals.
  • Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program; may write and present speeches.
  • Maintains complete and accurate program records.
  • May serve on or chair various University committees.
  • May supervise program staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

We are looking for a team player who is enthusiastic, meticulous, well organized, flexible, and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Senior Program Coordinator will need excellent multi-tasking skills to: manage the logistics of large virtual training events and trainings; prepare and distribute reports; coordinate logistical arrangements for meetings with community partners; develop and distribute promotional materials through several venues (including the Center’s newsletter); develop and maintain databases; disseminate training content to community partners; represent the Center at virtual meetings and at in-person conferences. This staff member will work with a team that provides technical assistance and trainings to educators, school mental health providers, and other school mental health leaders in the Southeastern Region on topics related to school mental health. The work environment can be fast paced. The Senior Program Coordinator will help us be responsive to the school mental health providers and leaders we serve, as well as to our funder.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a field related to specified program areas and five years related program management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience managing and coordinating large virtual events and trainings, managing relationships with community partners, developing and disseminating promotional materials through multiple channels (e.g., social media and email listserv), and collecting program evaluation data (including quantitative and qualitative data).
  • Experience with Excel, Qualtrics, and Canva.
  • Knowledge of child mental health and/or school mental health.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as needed.  Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
