Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno seeks to hire a Senior PeopleSoft System Analyst-Administrator or PeopleSoft System Analyst-Administrator. Under the general supervision of the Manager, PeopleSoft, this position contributes to the management of the Enterprise Student Information System (SIS) infrastructure.

The position installs, maintains, supports, and documents all modifications to the infrastructure while ensuring maximum availability. The position, in conjunction with the customer, will evaluate and determine the need for applying new application PUM and patches to fulfill compliance and security requirements, and functionality enhancements.

The Senior PeopleSoft System Analyst-Administrator will have knowledge and experience in supporting and maintaining an Enterprise Student Information Systems or other comparably sized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. This position is responsible for coordinating actions among customers, operations, and technical staff.

The PeopleSoft System Analyst-Administrator is responsible for analyzing, identifying and problem resolution of issues impacting the functionality and performance of the Student Information System, and works with staff and faculty from a variety of backgrounds and experiences to resolve issues.

Position may be hired at the Senior PeopleSoft System Analyst-Administrator or PeopleSoft System Analyst-Administrator level. Candidate will be hired at the level that is comparable to their experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Required Qualifications

Senior PeopleSoft System Analyst-Administrator

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years of related professional experience, OR

  • Master’s degree and two years of related professional experience

Related Experience: Experience in the installation, configuration and support of a multi-tier enterprise software application, preferably a Student Information System; Relational database technologies, preferably Oracle; Problem resolution, support, and documentation of technical specifications or related.

PeopleSoft System Analyst-Administrator

  • High School Graduation and four years of related work experience; OR

  • Associate degree and three years of related work experience; OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree and two year of related work experience; OR

  • Master’s Degree and one year of related work experience.

Related Experience: Experience in a computer related or information system management position, preferably within higher education; providing functional and/or technical support to an enterprise software application, preferably in an Oracle environment or related.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PeopleSoft system administration experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field.

Compensation Grade

Senior PeopleSoft System Analyst – Administrator (Grade C)

The typical salary range for this position is $71,740- $107,610.

PeopleSoft System Analyst – Administrator (Grade B)

The typical salary range for this position is $52,164– $78,247

Salary is based on related education and experience, internal equity and budgets.
