About the Role

We are seeking an innovative and experienced leader in distance and/or online education to lead and deliver our postgraduate programmes in Mental Health by Distance Learning and to help provide direction on digital education to the Institute’s Education Committee on present and future courses.

There are numerous opportunities for ongoing academic development as a teacher and learner in HE through the QMUL Teaching Recognition Project (TRP), which provides a framework for recognition up to and including Senior Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy.

This is primarily a teaching and scholarship position and opportunities for individual research will be limited.

The Unit of Psychological Medicine, is a part of the Centre for Psychiatry & Mental Health at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. It has a focus on academic discipline, research, the translation of research into public health strategies and their practical implementation – all dedicated to the reduction of disease and disability.

The Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health plays a key role in the development and delivery of undergraduate medical education (MBBS course) and other undergraduate courses at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).

The post is based at Whitechapel Campus in London. The post is full-time 1.0FTE and is permanent. Starting salary will be in the range £58,378 – £61,710 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
