We are looking to recruit a full-time Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Research) within the Department of Postgraduate Taught and Professional Learning to lead our flagship Master’s in Professional Education (MEd) programme. Our Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma programmes have continued growth and provide pathways to the Masters of Education (MEd) programme.

We are seeking to appoint a positive, creative, and collegial, Senior Lecturer within the department of Postgraduate Taught and Professional Learning. With a passion for a high-quality student experience, you will be motivated to contribute to a culture of research-enhanced teaching within the department and the School. As a researcher-practitioner, you will undertake and share high-quality research in line with the School’s Research Strategy and Aberdeen 2040, working with others to enhance the School of Education’s research reputation, generating new knowledge to make a difference by raising the future and current educators’ critical awareness and improving children’s education and experiences.
Being positive, creative, and collegial by disposition, you will be passionate about education, teaching, and research, and be committed to your own, and others’ learning. An enthusiastic educator with expertise in Masters level learning, you will have a good understanding of the wider context and policy area of education.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 8, £54,949 – £61,823 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.
