Senior Java Production Support- Remote in Toronto, Ontario

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Production Support Engineer with extensive experience in Java, Springboot, Java API, Java/ J2EE, Spring boot, Angular, to join our team with varied strengths. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our production applications. You will apply your expertise in Java development and production support to fix complex issues and implement effective solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong analytical skills, and be passionate about optimizing application performance.

In this role, you will

• Provide expert-level support for Java applications in production environments

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quick resolution of production issues.

• Monitor application performance and implement improvements as required.

• Perform root cause analysis of incidents and proactively address potential issues.

• Guide the adoption of standard methodologies in coding, deployment, monitoring, and security.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Java, Angular, Spring, .Net, Restful API’s, MS SQL, Agile, Bitbucket

• Strong knowledge in GitHub Copilot, Restful APIs, Docker, Angular 9-12, Microservices, Azure, MySQL, PL/SQL, JUnit5, YAML, Spring Boot, SONARQUBE, Oracle WebLogic JMS, jMock, Java, JSON, GIT, XML, Spring Framework, and Linux. .

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.

• Solid understanding of production support processes and methodologies.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client OR Cognizant office in Toronto, ON.
