Cochlear is seeking a Senior Information Security Consultant to lead and shape our security strategy, ensuring the protection of our information assets. This role requires translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly language while championing robust information management and security practices with a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic information security leadership to guide business initiatives and solve challenges clearly and effectively.
  • Offer expert guidance on national and international standards and best practices.
  • Lead complex projects to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
  • Assess technology implementations for compliance with Cochlear and industry standards.
  • Develop solution architecture documentation and secure stakeholder approval.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement cost-effective mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee vulnerability assessments and manage penetration testing engagements.

Essential Skills

  • Over 10 years in IT, including 5+ years in senior information security roles.
  • Must have a CISSP
  • Strong background in Risk Management, enterprise architecture, and security frameworks.
  • Familiar with ISO 27000, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ITIL, and privacy principles.
  • Expert in Internet and network security systems and tools.
  • Experience with VMware, Microsoft, UNIX, Linux OS, and cloud platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging and influencing stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strategic and operational leadership with effective implementation skills.
