As a Senior Utilities Account Manager specializing in heavy equipment sales at Key Talent Indicator, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth within the utilities sector in the Long Island region. You will be responsible for nurturing existing utility accounts while actively developing new business opportunities with high-potential prospects.Location: Long Island, NY, USASector: UtilitiesResponsibilities:

  • Cultivate relationships with existing utility accounts and identify opportunities for growth
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans tailored to the utilities sector
  • Represent the company in all customer-facing activities, including meetings, proposals, and contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Operations, and Logistics to ensure seamless project implementation
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals for equipment and service offerings
  • Monitor and track all sales activities, opportunities, and orders using CRM tools
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, pricing strategies, and competitive activities
  • Travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects, both locally and regionally
  • Ensure excellent customer service and support throughout the sales lifecycle

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of direct sales or technical sales experience in the utilities sector
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to business development
  • Strong understanding of heavy equipment, including power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution systems
  • Knowledge of utilities or electrical markets, with insights into industry trends and pricing dynamics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building rapport with clients and internal teams
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for managing sales activities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; project commissioning or management experience is a plus
