Who are we looking for?
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Senior Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Partner
to join Health, Safety and Environment, Student Services and Wellbeing, Administrative Division.
The Senior Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Partner supports operational health, safety and environment functions and programs within the QUT community, relating to the implementation of work health and safety and environment legislation, policy, systems and programs. The role provides guidance, quality advice, and technical and project support on a range of complex HSE matters, including work, teaching and research-based hazards, incident management, training and skill development and risk management requirements. In addition, the position provides operational support, mentoring and guidance to Faculties and Divisions, including with staff and students, and is required to work collaboratively with other service areas across QUT.
To reflect QUT’s growing teaching and research agenda, your skills and experience working as a HSE professional across chemical and/or biological laboratories or research facilities is considered favourable.

About the Administrative Division

About Student Services and Wellbeing
The Student Services and Wellbeing portfolio leads the university-wide strategy and coordination of all non-academic matters related to the student experience. The portfolio of Student Services and Wellbeing delivers a range of services across the student life cycle, as well as providing advice and leadership to the university on a broad range of student and staff matters, including social justice and public policy.
Student Services and Wellbeing consists of the following departments: Student Administration, HiQ, Equity, Student Services and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). The portfolio also has strong links to and works closely with QUT’s Oodgeroo Unit and Human Resources.

- collaboration with students and staff for positive health, safety and environment outcomes at QUT.
