Senior Financial Systems Analyst – homebased in Bloemfontein, South Africa

This role will join a newly created global team, which is responsible for the set up of systems after mergers & acquisitions of new entities in our company.

Job Brief:

Scope and maintain the financial consolidation and reporting system (presently Hyperion FM but may change over time) to reflect organizational and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions

• Under supervision process required changes to metadata, updating organizational structures to reflect additions or changes to operating activities.

• Create new accounts within the financial consolidation and reporting system to reflect changes to the business and organizational structures as required.

• Undertake system maintenance and performance monitoring in conjunction with IT and other users.

• Ensure effective system documentation is in place to accurately describe how the system is maintained and operated with IT.

• Ensure effective back-up provisions exist and are regularly tested and updated in conjunction with IT and BCP requirements.

• Provide user support in the development of system generated reports. Develop reports for users and educate users to develop their own.

• Keep informed about developments in finance consolidation and budgeting and planning products.

• Perform any other duties as assigned.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related Req

• 5 years’ experience of financial analysis and consolidation Req

• Strong working knowledge of VAT returns Req

• Knowledge of General and subsidiary Ledger accounting, including the following systems: Peoplesoft, Coupa & SAP

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel Req

• Technical accounting skills.

• Highly developed and proven analytical and numeracy skills.

• Ability to identify financial issues and execute mitigating actions.

• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet strict/demanding deadlines.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
