Department Overview :
The Finance team supports Canadian Personal Banking group of businesses including both Branch Banking, Product and COO. The team supports development and achievement of Personal Banking financial and strategic objectives by providing reporting and forecasting capabilities, analysis, interpretation, and advice to business leaders on both financial and business matters.

We are looking for a highly motivated, inquisitive professional who has a track record of insightful analytics and thought leadership. A person who is capable of examining issues which concern our most senior leaders, and offering deep understanding and perceptive observations around the issues. The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to the following key accountabilities:
Providing financial and strategic analytical support on a variety of Branch Banking programs and projects including Mergers, New Branch Openings, renovation and relocation.
Work will range from conception to completion, including structuring models and analysis, gathering data, distilling insights that inform business decisions and presenting outcomes writing and verbally. All activities require the ability to work both with high degrees of autonomy and discretion, and in collaboration with partners depending on the situation.
Manage processes and timelines involving multiple stakeholders to complete deliverables within prescribed time frames.
Proactively identify business opportunities warranting further review and analysis; identify and assist business in solving any challenges.
Deliver ad hoc analyses and participate in initiatives on behalf of the Branch Banking Finance team.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
Required/Must Haves
Must have 5+ years’ Finance experience (financial planning and strategic analytical skills are required)
Experience working with business cases.
Formal strategy experience (e.g., management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, corporate development or similar environment) in consulting, would be highly valued.
Sound business acumen and judgment, with the ability to balance analytical accuracy with the practicalities of the retail operating environment.
Relationship management and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with business partners.
Strong data management capabilities to work with large data sets and distill insights. Proficiency in Excel a must.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex information succinctly and clearly, including the ability to develop effective executive-level presentations.
Well organized to manage multiple, complex, lengthy assignments with dependencies on other teams within timelines, which are sometimes urgent.
Strongly Preferred:
Knowledge/experience in retail banking
Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, EMRS
Experience with advanced business case methodology
Required Educational/Accreditation Requirements:
Post-Secondary degree in Commerce, Economics or Business.
CPA, MBA would be a strong asset.
