The Office of Admissions (OAM) oversees full-time undergraduate admissions, scholarships and financial aid. Reporting to the Office of the Senior Deputy President & Provost, OAM develops and implements policies and operations related to undergraduate admissions, administers the award of scholarships and financial aid, and markets the university’s undergraduate programmes. 
 
As a Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager (Admissions), the officer is primarily responsible for processing and selecting prospective students for admission to undergraduate studies at NUS. 

Duties & Responsibilities

•    Evaluate applicants for admission to NUS undergraduate programmes and process admission applications
•    Advise prospective applicants and transfer students who seek admission to NUS
•    Collect and analyse data and trends in the education systems in Singapore and foreign countries
•    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth applicant-to-student journey
•    Initiate, coordinate and participate in local and overseas outreach events 
•    Assist/ provide back-up to colleagues in other administrative functions
•    Guide and mentor team members in their work
•    Perform any other tasks duties as necessary or as assigned by supervisor 

Qualifications

•    A recognised university degree in any discipline
•    Related qualifications and/or working experience in the higher education sector will be advantageous 
•    Demonstrated understanding of issues related to student admissions and public relations 
•    Independent and a self-starter yet a team player 
•    Good organisational skills including the ability to plan and prioritise work tasks to meet tight deadlines, and pay great attention to details
•    Good communication skills, both written and oral
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management
