Philanthropy is vital in enabling the University of Oxford to be a leading player in global education and research.
We are seeking a talented and committed person to join the University’s Foundations & Corporations fundraising team. As Senior Development Executive – Corporations, you will work closely with the Head of Development – Foundations and Corporations. You will be responsible for identifying and cultivating major philanthropic partnerships with corporations to support the University’s diverse and inspiring fundraising priorities, connected to themes ranging from innovative medical and scientific advances, to widening access to our University, to supporting world-class museums.
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in managing and maintaining major relationships, and influencing senior stakeholders within the corporate sector or similar environments, through previous roles such as fundraising, sales and marketing or corporate social responsibility.
You are a graduate or equivalent, highly motivated and enthusiastic about the impact of research and teaching, and confident about achieving ambitious income targets. You will be entrepreneurial and possess diplomacy, creativity and outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Essential is the proven ability to develop good working relationships with academic colleagues, and new and existing supporters at all levels, and the creativity, discretion and tenacity to manage multiple projects. A collaborative and adaptable proactive working style is essential.
