In this role, you will support Siemens Energy’s project business by handling complex contractual matters. This includes analyzing contracts, identifying risks, negotiating agreements, and advising project and site management in large-scale projects.How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Providing advice and support for customer contracts, consortium agreements, and sub-contracts to strictly protect Siemens Energy’s rights and entitlements
  • Supporting in contractual and commercial matters, such as the change order processes and reviewing and drafting of relevant correspondence
  • Identifying all relevant technical, commercial, and contractual aspects to support the set-up of project-specific claim strategies
  • Contributing to pursuing and defending incoming and outgoing claims by collecting and advising on relevant project records, documentation and all pertinent facts
  • Collaborating with legal teams by providing support in substantiating relevant facts for claiming quantum, extension of time, and establishing factual defenses in arbitration proceedings
  • Performing quantum or delay analyses to establish causation for relevant events impacting the project schedule and/or the scope of work

What You Bring

  • Academic graduation in a technical field, business administration, law, or quantity surveying background with appropriate academic or professional qualifications
  • Longstanding experience in contract and claim management, including analyzing and drafting contracts, or a legal or commercial academic background with experience in large-scale projects
  • Familiarity with contract terms and conditions of international EPC and construction contracts (including, e.g., FIDIC, Orgalime, NEC, MF1)
  • Experience working within internationally staffed teams and contractual partners, with the ability to travel nationally/internationally (15-20%)
  • Proficiency in negotiating in German and English; Italian language skills are welcome
  • Working knowledge in valuation (engineering quantification, bills of quantities, unit rates, re-measurement) and scheduling or project controls is welcome

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills.
