Position description

The EU team of Ernst Young provides robust and evidence-based policy, regulatory and economic advice, and technical assistance to European institutions mainly.

We make the “European Project” progress by helping our clients to:

• Gather evidence to identify main needs, challenges, drivers, and impacts;
• Anticipate change and design public policy responses;
• Provide technical solutions and implement them;
• Coordinate the interaction with key stakeholders and communicate decisions and actions to them.

You will be joining our Internal Market & Consumers Team which has a high-profile, expanding project portfolio including for the European Commission and its agencies across a range of policy topics such as SMEs & entrepreneurship, industry & sustainability, standardisation, digital markets, consumer empowerment & awareness & safety. We currently run projects and framework contracts for DG GROW, DG JUST, DG CNCT, DG FISMA, EISMEA, the EP IMCO and ITRE committees and others. Our success is due to our excellent team of senior consultants and managers and we are now looking to strengthen our team.

Your Key Responsibilities

 

We are looking to recruit a Senior Consultant who will contribute to implementing projects for our core clients in the area of the internal market and consumers, in line with our vision, mission and values. As Senior Consultant you will:

• have proficiency in collecting and analysis qualitative and quantitative data by means of desk research, interviews, surveys etc.;
• organise and coordinate research (guiding, and ensuring the quality of the desk research and analysis, surveys, interviews, etc.);
• Contribute to the preparation of proposals;
• Develop data collection guides, questionnaires or research templates;
• Coordinate staff assistants including briefing, and reviewing;
• Communicate with clients;

 

Your Profile

You have:

• Master degree in European Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations or similar
• You have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
• You have been working with the EU’s clients, both involved in the development of proposals and in research and/or  consulting role
• You have strong self-motivation and an ability to lead and motivate colleagues
• You have proven analytical skills and an ability to tailor the results of the analysis to individual clients
• Ability to write and communicate with clients, partners, experts and colleagues in excellent English
• Ability to take initiatives and work in an autonomous way
