Job Summary:
The HUIT Student Information Systems (SIS) team handles the core student information system together with auxiliary custom and SaaS based applications to enhance staff and student experience. We currently have 50 plus small and large applications. We design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs and work with business units to improve business process. We are a team of collaborators who value fresh thinking and believe in mutual respect, constructive candor, diversity, and inclusion.
As a member of the SIS team, you will be a valued and trusted partner to our clients. We are looking for an exceptional Senior Business Systems Analyst to support the development of custom applications and system integrations. Working in partnership with the Client Relationship Managers, end-users, and technical team – you will ensure efficient deployment, full adoption, and effective usage of our IT solutions. You will also spearhead Business Analyst (BA) best practices, ensure they are being followed, gather end-user requirements, convert requirements into user stories, manage the change-control process, and help ensure that our solutions are well-documented.
The ideal candidate will also be comfortable working with different business units, conducting fit gap analysis, diagraming current/future-state business processes, and bringing it all together in a UI friendly solution.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily tasks will be focused around working on existing products and new projects. For existing products, you will be help business units learn how to use software programs effectively. They may also research new IT systems and technological trends to help level their solutions with competitors. For new projects you will be part of the core development team and work to gather requirements, create user stories, diagram current and future-state business processes, help conceptualize technical solutions and document them. You will help with wireframing apps, testing during UAT and act as an expert to help business unit get familiar with the applications.

Interview and onboarding activity for this position may be conducted via telephone & Zoom video conferencing, based on the department’s current presence on campus.
