Senior Business Analyst
The University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc. (UTFI) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our team. This position focuses on improving the points of meaningful interaction between Advancement Services and its clients, both internal (the Foundation and UT) and external (alumni, donors, and other key constituents, along with third-party vendors and consultants). Everyday responsibilities include process analysis and improvement, project management, reporting, collaboration, and creative innovation. The Senior Business Analyst is expected to develop a broad understanding of the key processes that drive fundraising and alumni engagement at UT, and serves a key role in conducting needs assessments, researching project requirements, translating and simplifying complex technical concepts, and communicating outcomes.
The Senior Business Analyst is also a key subject matter expert and daily project lead in the implementation and evolution of the UT Foundation’s new Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system, which is powered by Salesforce. In this role, the Senior Business Analyst will participate in configuration decisions, lead efforts to clean up and map data, coordinate efforts across a state-wide system of campuses, document and communicate change, and support users.

Qualifications
Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred, in business, communications, computer science, or related field dealing with analytics, statistics, or applied science, and at least 5 years of experience in information technology, including work with enterprise-level databases. 3 years of working experience in a higher education environment is preferred. Related experience can also include project management, business analysis, reporting and data analytics, training, and troubleshooting.

Job Skills: Candidates must have the ability to understand complex processes and translate them into simpler language, to learn technical skills, and ability to effectively communicate as a writer and/or speaker. Candidate must have intermediate knowledge of constituent relationship management (CRM) technologies. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and organizational skills (including basic project management), investigative and research skills (demonstrating curiosity and self-motivation), and intermediate skills in essential software, including MS Office and SQL.
