This is a full-time professional position within the Prentice Gautt Academic Center, a comprehensive support services unit for intercollegiate student-athletes. The Senior Athletics Academic Advisor reports to the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Academic Services and is charged with managing all aspects of academic support for student-athletes on assigned teams, and monitoring their academic progress, NCAA eligibility requirements and progress toward graduation. Additionally, this position includes responsibilities for training of new advising staff, coordination of outreach initiatives with the campus advising community, and leading advisor meetings. This position requires consistent and open communication with coaches and staff, knowledge of best practices in college student advising, and a thorough understanding of NCAA and Big 12 Conference guidelines and regulations.

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree, AND:
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree for a total of 66 months related experience.
