Position Summary | This position reports to the Director of University Business Systems and is responsible for the execution of all system-related activities, including project definition, work plan development, system design, programming, and implementation of applications projects as well as overall system responsibility for an assigned area and third party applications. This position will be overseeing a variety of existing applications and would be a main point of contact for end users within the areas that you would support. You would be collaborating with a small team of developers to strive towards making our end users highly productive. This is a hybrid position, providing the ability to work remotely up to 2 days a week after an initial 90 day new hire period. Qualifications | This position is best filled by an individual with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a computer science concentration or equivalent, and six plus years experience in application and software development. The individual must have demonstrated, fully developed software design and programming skills, coding in Oracle’s PL/SQL and/or Microsoft SQL/T-SQL. CRM experience on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Higher Education and Ellucian experience are a plus. Coding for web application development is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with others to comprehend administrative needs and explain technological capabilities and applications. Ability to work using Agile methodologies and can work independently as well as collaboratively with team members. Requires proven ability to lead and guide other developers on projects. Exposure to higher education SIS systems using relational database technology is preferred but not required. The ability to write clear and concise documentation is required.
