What you will do

In this vital role you will serve a critical function within Organizational, Planning, Analytics & Insights (OPA&I) with a goal of enterprise-wide, long-term workforce transformation by connecting people, financial, procurement & capability data to enable business insights & decisions. The Sr. Anaplan Engineer will collaborate with the Tech and Data Lead for OPA&I and will be responsible for translating requirements and implementing solutions for OPA&I into the Anaplan platform.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Build new capabilities demonstrating the Anaplan system to support strategic transformation initiatives, evolving business processes, and continuous improvement
  • Translate existing solutions, complex spreadsheets and business problems into elegant, intuitive Anaplan multi-dimensional models. Design, build, and maintain complex Anaplan models and modules
  • Develop and implement automation routines and data integrations to streamline processes
  • Solve and resolve Anaplan issues, ensuring smooth operation and data integrity.
  • Expertise in complex data analysis (specifically relating to financial and resource planning, scenario modeling)
  • Modify existing models as part of a connected solution, optimization, or to incorporate new functionality
  • Provide candid, relevant feedback and progress updates in a timely manner to the Business Partners and leadership
  • Develop model documentation
  • Participate in data integration and migration solutions
  • Lead UAT testing and deployment

What we expect of you

  • Master’s degree computer science or engineering field plus 4 to 6 years of relevant development/engineering experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering field plus 6 to 8 years of relevant development/engineering experience OR
  • Diploma and 8 years of relevant development/engineering experience

Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel / financial modeling skills
  • Experience with Data Hub integrations and design
  • Experience in requirements gathering and mock-up creation or management of COE and prioritization with business on requirement
  • High level of proficiency to understand and interrogate complex business data requirements, and build feeds and analytical models that will deliver the relevant insights
  • Outstanding critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a formal system implementation methodology – requirements gathering, design, build/test and deploy (Agile methodology preferable)
  • Experience with one or more programming languages, such as Python, Scala, R or Java
  • Experience in semantic data layers or data lake design
  • Familiar with Machine Learning life cycle, with knowledge of feature stores, MLflow, model registries, model deployment, model serving, and model monitoring
  • Familiar with PySpark and data processing libraries, machine learning frameworks (like Tensorflow, Keras or PyTorch), and other machine learning libraries
  • Experience in leading teams through uncertainty and ambiguity in a product team environment
  • Experience working in Agile teams & DevOps frameworks (Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub) and designing CI/CD processes

  • Anaplan Model Builder Level 1 (mandatory)
  • Anaplan Model Builder Level 2 (mandatory)
  • Anaplan Model Builder Level 2 (preferred)
  • The Anaplan Way (preferred)
  • Anaplan Solution Architect (preferred)
  • Relevant agile certification (preferred)
