Job Details:

Purpose

Develop and coordinate strategic alumni and corporate relations programs designed to increase corporate funding to support the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystem Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working with the development team to manage the creation, and implementation of stewardship programming for Cockrell School donors.  Coordinate activities for the stewardship program. 

  • Oversee the timely acknowledgement of all gifts, to include running the gift report, followed by merging and preparing thank you letters for the department chair, or appropriate person’s signature, as well as, draft and produce correspondence, reports, and follow-up materials.

  • Manage communication with the External Advisory Committee and plan External Advisory Committee Meetings.

  • Maintain and grow corporate fundraising efforts for departmental programs such as the Workforce Initiative Program, the Summer Undergrad Research Internship, First-year Fall Retreat.

  • Manage the Distinguished Alumni Program, SPE/ATCE Alumni Reception, Alumni Happy Hours, NAPE Alumni Reception, Annual Giving Letters, Donor Thank You Letters, 40 for Forty Campaign, and Alumni Tailgate.

  • Other related functions as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Five years’ experience administering or coordinating programs

  • Development or philanthropic experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education

  • Proficient in UT Austin administrative systems such as *DEFINE and VIP

  • Excellent skills in Excel, budget tracking, and forecasting

  • Previous experience working in an academic department at UT Austin

Salary Range

$65,000 + depending on qualifications
