Description

 

Reporting to the Chairperson of the Department of Podiatric Biomechanics in the School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM), the Secretary III/Clerk V provides academic, clerical and facilities related support services to the clinical education and basic sciences departments of the School in an accurate, timely and courteous manner. 

Responsibilities include: transcribing, formatting, preparing and distributing course syllabi for electronic and/or hard copy presentation, typing, formatting and duplicating course materials using electronic and/or hard copy media, as required, preparing, proctoring, grading and preparing analysis for regular and “special accommodation” examinations, distributing and reporting on course evaluations to students. Performs other duties as assigned.  
 
Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; ability to accurately type 50 words per minute; two years’ experience in an academic and or health care setting preferred.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
 
Required Skills & Abilities:
*Must be organized, detail oriented and able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
*Must have a customer service orientation and the ability to interact with professionalism and tact under stress.  
*Must be proficient with applications such as Microsoft Office, various practice management/EHR solutions and be able to adapt to new technology.
