All brought together in a flexible work environment where you can truly find balance.About the OpportunityThe Federal Reserve System transitioned human resources, finance and procurement technology systems into one integrated cloud-based platform using the Workday and SAP Ariba product solutions. To support this new platform, operational support capabilities are being reorganized to be singularly focused on one goal – to deliver a world-class platform in support of the Federal Reserve’s mission. As part of this effort, a new ERP Support Office (ESO) has been created to spearhead technical support of the new solution by establishing an agile team that will embrace change, drive innovation, and rapidly respond to the changing needs of stakeholders.The scrum master is a member of a product team who has a primary responsibility to help the self-organizing, self-managing team achieve its goals. The scrum master facilitates the scrum processes, protects the team from interference, and helps remove impediments so that the team can deliver the sprint goal. They foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous process flow, and relentless improvement.What You Will Do:

  • Plans, leads, organizes, and motivates two cross functional teams of medium to medium-high complexity and visibility.
  • Develops, tracks, and communicates team’s agile adoption and progress metrics, including velocity, burn-down and cycle time.
  • Coordinates and facilitates sprint planning and task definition, sprint execution, impediment removal and tracking, sprint review, and retrospectives.
  • Works with Product Owners to support short and long-term release planning and keep work backlog healthy and prepared for execution. Creates team working agreements.
  • May lead collaboration sessions with internal clients on medium scale projects to formulate creative and practical solutions to application challenges.
  • Supports Product Owners in the development of release plans and roadmaps and to maintain the health of the backlog.
  • Partners with project and release managers on production deployment activities
  • Acts as a change agent, watches for waste and bottlenecks and adapts to maximize productivity of the team.
  • Guards the agile team from external requests and disruptions and removes impediments.
  • Coaches the agile team on story point estimation and acceptance criteria definition.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Requires 3-5 years of IT work experience in Project Management/Development where at least 2 years have been leading Scrum teams as a scrum master in an IT or software development setting.
  • Requires knowledge of multiple agile development methodologies and frameworks.
  • Requires understanding of the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other Agile certification a plus.
  • Knowledge: Advanced knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in Project/Product Management areas. General knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures and technologies.
  • Communications: Excellent organizational and communication skills, creativity, attention to detail (compliance), and negotiation skills to interpret results, develop communications and recommend improvements. Able to present information within all settings in a credible, confident and influential manner. Communicates in a concise, direct and purposeful way. Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated ability to interact with anticipated audiences in a courteous, service-oriented manner.

  • Decision Making: Works independently or under general directions as to scope or objectives. Makes decisions within established or widely accepted standards.   • The hiring range of the Scrum Master is $117,000 – $146,300 annually.
  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
