We currently have a remote opportunity for a Scrum Master, which will be focused on conceptualizing, designing, and developing these innovative software products.WHAT YOU’LL DOFacilitate the activities of multiple scrum teams, spanning multiple product platformsCoach Product Owners, Developers and other team members and/or organizational stakeholders in the application of Agile practices, processes & mindsetsEffectively draw from a multitude of skills & capabilities to influence team members & unblock scrum teamsUse Agile principles & processes to help with meeting sprint goals within the target iteration, meet quality standards, stakeholder expectations, and business needsLead scrum teams & foster a strong collaborative ethos within your teamsCoordinate development dependencies that span multiple teams and know how to track team progress in JIRACommunicate team progress, identify risks, and escalate issues to leadership & project stakeholders in a timely fashionHelp define KPIs to monitor team performance and facilitate continuous improvement and increasing transparencyServe as a ‘change agent’ to evangelize Agile methodologies, drive experimentation and new ways of working, and persevere through cultural, process and other obstaclesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRINGRequiredCertified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalentBusiness, Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experienceAt least 3 yrs. experience in software development2+ years of experience on Agile development teamsDeep understanding of Agile development practicesAbility to effectively navigate ambiguity and competing prioritiesProven ability to work with diverse personality typesSituational awareness, conflict resolution, interpersonal communication and facilitation skills, empowermentDemonstrated ability to implement useful metrics to help team(s) identify opportunities for improvementAn orientation toward Servant Leadership, whose focus is removing impediments and enhancing the capabilities of an Agile teamExperience in coaching, mentoring, cross-functional scrum teams and working with tools such as Jira & ConfluenceExperience working with teams/team members who are geographically distributedPreferredExperience in applying Agile methodologies in regulated environments, preferably in a Medical Device field and with knowledge of Design Control regulations and requirementsExperience with driving adoption of Agile methodologies, processes and tools in a cross-functional organizationMarketing experience of previous marketing experience is preferred.WHAT WE OFFERAt Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
