Faculty Professional Services

SCHOOL SUPPORT ASSISTANT

REF: SC4266

£21,197 to £23,144 per annum

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Faculty Professional Services team in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Our work covers a broad cross section of topics, working in partnership with our academic colleagues and other professional service units to ensure the smooth running of our Schools.

We are seeking to appoint an individual who can provide a high quality and pro-active administrative service to our Schools.

You will help to organise, execute and record a variety of processes and projects, including Associate Tutor contracts, events, financial processing, and communications across a range of platforms.

You will work within and across multiple departments and teams, meaning that you will need to work collaboratively with a variety of colleagues.

You will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Mathematics (or equivalent qualifications or experience) and demonstrable administration experience. In addition, you will have great organisational and communication skills and be very confident with IT.

This is a hybrid working opportunity, with a combination of working at home and working as required on a rota basis across our sites on campus and in the city centre. We will provide you with all the tools you will need to do this effectively.

This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.

UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time, job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.

Closing date:  26 October 2022

The University is committed to diversifying its workforce. As examples, we already hold an Athena SWAN Silver Institutional Award in recognition of our advancement towards gender equality. We also have a Vice-Chancellor led Taskforce on Tackling Racism and a Race Equality Charter Working Group which support our work on race equality. Our aim is to submit to the Race Equality Charter in 2024.
