Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Student Worker will provide administrative support to faculty and staff in the School of Occupational Therapy within the College of Health Sciences and Nursing.

This is sedentary work. Occasionally, the position will require standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying and climbing, reaching both high and low.

Be a reliable office presence by answering phones, distributing mail, running campus errands, and greeting visitors.

Provide administrative support by helping with filing, copying, preparing mailings, assisting with accreditation materials, and maintaining office, classroom and lab inventory.

Assist with database support, including data entry for fieldwork and accreditation.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Student must be available to complete the work for this position on campus.

Must have Federal Work Study.

The ideal candidate is an outgoing and a motivated individual, who takes initiative in completing tasks and wants to build/grow his/her skills. Additionally, the right person is highly professional – service-oriented with a willingness to learn.

Desired knowledge, skills and abilities include:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.
  • Trustworthy, reliable and shows sensitivity to confidential information.
  • Demonstrates good time management skills.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • A willingness to learn.

Required Education Applicants must be enrolled as current students at Belmont University. 
Required Experience While previous office experience is preferred, it is not required.
