An opportunity has arisen for a part time School Administration Assistant to join the School of Biological Sciences administrative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting both Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching activities within the school.

The School Administration Assistant will provide proactive administration support to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught activities across the school, which includes a student body of around 480 UG students and 70 PGT students. The postholder will be part of a team who are responsible for assisting the Senior School Administrator, School Administration Manager, Director of Education and Head of School in the effective and efficient running of these areas within the school. 

The work is varied and interesting and will involve a great deal of contact with the student body, staff, and external organisations. We are seeking a proactive and highly organised individual; you will be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team within a busy but friendly environment. You should have excellent IT skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages. You should also have experience in an administrative role, it would be advantageous with experience of working within the Higher Education sector.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 3, £22,681 – £25,138 (pro rata) with placement according to qualifications and experience.
