About the role

As a Scholarly Teaching Fellow you will actively engage in teaching and student engagement related activities within Early Childhood Education.

You will

  • contribute to the development and delivery of Early Childhood Education courses;
  • contribute to the delivery and development of online teaching resources;
  • contribute to the Institute’s administrative functions; and
  • travel to other campuses and undertake multi-campus activities.

About you

Working under the support and guidance of senior academic staff, you will work as part of the Institute’s team, developing expertise in teaching, curriculum development and administration with an increasing degree of autonomy.

You will possess:

  • an understanding of transition pedagogy and student-centred learning frameworks to support effective online and blended learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Early Childhood Education courses.
  • enthusiasm for teaching, and a good teaching record in Early Childhood Education.
  • experience in academic administration, including the administration of courses.
  • All University positions delivering education and/or services to children must hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). Please refer to the position description for WWCC requirements.

    Please note, in accordance with the Federation University Australia Union Enterprise Agreement Academic and General Staff Employees 2019-2021 , to be eligible for a Scholarly Teaching Fellow position, applicants must have at least one years’ academic appointment with Federation University Australia, excluding a person who has held a continuing academic appointment.
