Summary of Duties:
As a supporter of immigration advisors, the Scholar Coordinator position manages and coordinates employment-based visa processing, budget and departmental service fee collection and related administrative support for the WSU systems international scholar operation. Under general direction from the Senior Associate Director for Immigration Compliance, this position administers federal immigration regulations pertaining to document keeping and tracking, and specialized knowledge on behalf of international scholars in a variety of visa types to ensure their success and retention in the WSU system as faculty, administrative professional, post-docs and others. Additionally, this position executes education, outreach, and training to the WSU system to help sustain and grow the scholar population.
This is a hybrid position (partially in-person and partially work from home).
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, Intercultural Communication, Business, Political Science, History, General Studies or a related field OR equivalent education/experience.

Three or more years of related experience in international business, customer-service, administrative support, immigration service processing, or a related area.

Speaks or has studied multiple languages and/or traveled or lived abroad.

Interacts sensitively with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.

Monthly Salary: Range 42 $3,401 – $4,425 (Step A through L). Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
