Scanning Clerk (3-month contract)

Ricoh is currently looking for career-oriented individual to produce customer’s projects according to company standards of quality and output by prepping, scanning, inspecting, compiling, assembling and reassembling documents. Ensures all jobs are met to client job specifications and order deadline dates.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating and preparing projects for scanning, including electronic file conversion, document scanning and enhancement from start to delivery
Scanning documents – B&W narrow format
Preparing documents for scanning by removing staples/clips, unfolding sheets, taping if required on any torn pages, TAG pages needing on glass scan, as the Ricoh team is sorting the documents into the groups
Quality checking all images during the scanning process, ensuring each image is also reviewed against its original page
Project Management by planning and scheduling resources, overseeing all aspects of the project
Processing the scanned documents through optical character recognition (“OCR”) software
Indexing of each PDF file following the client’s requested format
Reassembly of scanned documents
Establishing and maintaining quality controls to ensure work accuracy
Responding to first level phone calls from end users of equipment to determine the problem, clear paper jams, run test copies and determine status of machines
Data entry
Running reports
Keeping logs of downtime, repairs and meter charges of all copiers/printers on site
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a mail room or copy centre
Skills :
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop business relationships
Strong self-motivation to drive results
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Effective use of Microsoft Office
Ability to lift 30+lbs. as necessary
Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors

Compensation range: $18-22/hr
