Job Summary

We are currently seeking an SAT tutor to provide academic support to students, focusing on the SAT test materials and strategies. Responsibilities include:

• Providing academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge based on the Ontario curriculum, with a specific focus on SAT preparation.

• Designing and providing supplemental assignments to students to help promote greater understanding of SAT material.

• Offering both remedial and enrichment support for students preparing for the SAT.

• Communicating with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and strategies for SAT success.

Qualifications and Skills

Prep Academy Tutors is looking for energetic and enthusiastic teachers with experience in SAT preparation. Ideal candidates should be:

• Committed to providing excellent customer service to both students and their families.

• Enjoy working with students & families, providing guidance, and inspiring success in the SAT.

• Possess great communication skills, capable of conveying SAT concepts effectively.

• Located in or willing to travel to the Oakville/Burlington area for in-home tutoring sessions.

A qualified applicant will meet at least one of the following criteria:

• You hold a registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, preferably with experience or interest in SAT tutoring.

• You are qualified to teach in a Canadian Province/Territory outside of Ontario, with credentials that support your ability to provide SAT tutoring.

• You are a current teacher candidate; pursuing a bachelor of education with an interest in specializing in test preparation.

• You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited Canadian University or College, ideally with experience in test preparation strategies.
