The Higher Education Division is currently recruiting a Sales Specialist – technology/courseware sales.
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Specialist, you will be responsible for growing the revenue and usage of Pearson’s industry leading digital platforms, MyLab, Mastering, or Revel. You are a highly motivated and analytically minded individual with strong customer-facing skills. You go above and beyond in servicing your customer base and understanding their challenges. You apply your knowledge of Pearson’s portfolio to inform customers of the continuous improvements in our products and how to best leverage them to engage and inspire their students.
In this role, you are an expert on Pearson’s digital platforms and know just when and where to direct professors to get the help they need while onboarding and actively using a Pearson platform. Alongside a Sales Representative partner, you will be tasked to develop strategic and proactive customer outreach campaigns, designed to monetize and grow your assigned shared revenue region.
You are comfortable with exceeding growth targets and enthusiastic about our products. You know the potential for better learning outcomes when digital tools are used to activate learning. You’re a self-motivated individual, competitive and comfortable pushing past comfort zones and being resilient. In this role, your ability to make long and lasting connections with Pearson customers will be invaluable to creating a customer experience driven by their desired outcomes.
As a member of the sales team, you will be responsible for creating strategic plans, owning the end-to-end sales process, owning active onboarding and implementation, and leveraging internal teams to ensure educators are maximizing platform capabilities that support learners in their life-long learning journey.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Our Ideal Candidate Demonstrates/Has:
Previous sales experience with a track record of success within a managed sales territory
On-line literacy, experience and aptitude to work with new technologies
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
Excellent communication, interpersonal, & emotional intelligence skills
Competitive desire to exceed goals and grow territory
Strong business planning and prospecting abilities
Able to work independently and is self-motivated
Willingness to travel
Valid driver’s license
