Pay Grade/Pay Range:  53 Hourly (non-exempt) – Minimum – $ 11.25 Midpoint – $ 15.44

Department/Organization: 505171 – Supply Store – Ferguson

Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, some weekends & extended hrs.

Job Summary: The Sales Associate Sr supports the retail operations of a designated store or branch for the university. May serve as lead over other sales associates.

Additional Department Summary: This position is responsible for assisting with the Supply Store’s day to day operations. This position is responsible for supervising the sales floor of the area assigned. On a daily basis, the person in this position uses the computerized management system for processing customers through P.O.S., assisting customers with questions, maintaining inventory, and customer orders. This position is also responsible for maintaining the store’s appearance and stock level. Trains sales staff in the Technology department.

Required Minimum Qualifications:  High school diploma or the equivalent and two years of retail sales experience; OR Bachelor’s degree.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Will require some weekend & extended hours. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which includes frequent stooping, bending, lifting and carrying boxes of books weighing up to 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications: Prefer applicants to have extensive customer service experience and skills in a retail environment that parallels the functions of this position.
