Job Description

Your Team

As a Sales Associate/ Customer Guide, you champion the Customers for Life mindset by being a subject matter expert for your community and create personalized, memorable experiences throughout the homebuying journey. As an integral member of the team, you continue to develop educational relationships with prospective homebuyers and current homeowners.

Your journey begins by supporting your Community Manager throughout the sales home buying process, maintain MLS listings, assist with tours and answer common questions from customers. You seamlessly connect with Sales and Marketing, Design, Construction, Customer Care, Purchasing, and Accounting teams as needed throughout the customer journey.

Your Key Deliverables

Prospecting / Sales

  • Support the Community Manager in agreement processing and transition to Customer Care.

  • Be well-versed in Brookfield’s product information and features to help customers in their decision making process.

  • Ensuring all paperwork and appropriate follow up occurs in an efficient and timely fashion

  • Represent the customer at weekly/bi-weekly community team meetings with Construction teams

  • Attend key meetings with customer and team members during the customer journey capturing any details, changes, and/or requests as required

  • Manage all aspects of reporting, such as sales reports, AVID ratings, etc.

  • Develop and implement an effective and efficient sales and administration program capable of achieving or exceeding the targets and goals, as specified in the Business Plan

  • Frequently research the respective region home market; review and compare Brookfield Residential’s products on an on-going basis

  • Prospect and network for new business and customer opportunities

  • Maintain sales centre conversion rates (traffic to offers)

  • Ensure that all required information for the successful executive of sales contracts is submitted timely and accurately to the appropriate departments

  • Oversee all documentation and paperwork load flow related to business

  • Continuous improvement of personal sales strategy and development

    Customer Service / Setting Expectations

  • Supporting the end-to-end Customer Journey from entering into an agreement to closing and supporting the customer during key construction stages into the living in their new home

  • Be the central point of contact for the customer, liaising with other Brookfield team members to create a consistent and seamless customer journey

  • Consider special circumstances or requests from customers as needed, providing an opportunity to elevate the home buying experience in certain situations, such as offering offsite closings.

  • Familiarize new homeowners with their neighborhood shopping centers, banks, churches, schools, daycare centers, furniture stores, gyms, dry cleaners, restaurants, libraries, pharmacies, hospitals, hardware store, post office, movie theatres, veterinarians, interior decorator and more.

  • Ensure a professional atmosphere by conducting activities in a fair and equitable manner always.

  • Recognize that Business is built on customer satisfaction and devoted to guaranteeing satisfaction to customers

  • Recognize that this role is better equipped to satisfy customers with an understanding of the Homes Divisions’ processes beyond sales, including: Construction, Estimating, Marketing, and Administration, and that this knowledge will involve ongoing communications with these groups

  • Liaise with the Construction department to ensure proper information flow, orderly start and delivery of sold and spec homes

    Marketing

  • Ensure that the Homes Divisions’ assets, ranging from the sales center, show homes, and spec inventory are presented professionally and marketed according to company standards

  • Provide input for and on innovative marketing solutions, alternative channels and points of product differentiation

  • Review and maintain website content for their project specifics

  • Provide feedback to marketing on traffic demographics and sources

    Competitive Analysis & Industry Knowledge

  • Develop and communicate a thorough and ongoing understanding of competitors’ offerings both in the new home and resale market, through regular comprehensive competitive analysis of competitor’s plans, specifications, and pricing and overall product offerings

  • Maintain continuous involvement within the respective Regional residential community and homebuilding industry

    Must Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales or a combination of education and experience will also be considered or a post-secondary diploma or degree in Business or related area preferred, with

  • Previous customer service experience with a proven successful track record.

  • Experience with managing multiple deliverables at the same time; detail oriented and highly organized.

  • Ability to deliver on performance metrics and key milestones

  • Champions of technology; open to learning and new experiences

  • Experience with CRM and ERP

  • Experience with Salesforce, Hubspot and NewStar are a plus, but not required

  • Must have accurate and efficient keyboarding and data entry skills
