- Develops local critical care strategy (based on Global strategy); ensures strategic integration of expanding portfolio and synergies across portfolio. Successfully identifies, plans and exploits new brand, existing brand, or trade opportunities to develop the business in line with marketing strategic direction. Supervises the use of all sources of market data to develop market models which allow product strategies to be optimized. Brings simplification and innovative ideas forward.
- Prepares commercial launch plans for upcoming indication launches as well as lead the cross-functional Brand Team and ensuring close collaboration between Marketing, Sales Force, Medical, Regulatory and Market Access. You will also develop yearly Brand Plan both from a strategic as well as an operational level, delivered in the highest quality and rolled out effectively across the organization.
- Analyzing local market and competitive dynamics, incorporating new inputs continuously and building long-range forecasts for brands in the Portfolio
- Presenting regularly our business results vs. budget, market understanding and insights to Senior business leaders at all levels in the organization
- Planning of Marketing spend in current and outer years, and monitoring sales, marketing, and medical spend, ensuring minimal variance vs budget
- Leading omnichannel Marketing mix and rolling out key projects developed with cross-functional input including promotional material, congress activity, events for HCPs etc.
- Leads field promotional activities, empowering cross-functional collaboration, strong patient-centric and omnichannel approach.
- Drives execution of the brand plans & brand KPIs through close collaboration with cross functional partners. Plans, monitors and reports team activities accurately and in time, in line with AZ standards, so that relevant KPIs are attained at KAM level and at regional / national team level
- Leads, coaches, mentors the sales team in order to ensure a professional development of each team member enabling them to reach their objectives and to create the highest possible value to the company. Develops and supports strong cross-team collaboration and omnichannel experience for customers.
- Develops and manages relationships with KEEs in collaboration with Medical and senior management. Works with government affairs partners, ensures policy shaping activities and market access to support growth of portfolio
- Engages proactively above market with global/regional team and other markets to facilitate best practice learnings and ensure quality deliverables
- Demonstrates business ethics and ensures active respect of values, local laws, policies and marketing procedures. Ensures all activities and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with the high standards of ethics and integrity required by the Code of Conduct, supporting Policies and Standards and Company Values to protect and enhance long term performance and reputation
- Other duties within position’s scope, as assigned by Line Manager
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Growth mindset, high learning skills
- Higher level education (e.g. Masters/PhD) in Science or Business
- Significant pharmaceutical commercial or medical experience with a strong performance track record
- Strong marketing and sales or medical leadership with a successful track record of growing brand as well as preparing for and successfully launching new products and brands. Creative marketing capabilities together with rigorous commercial business sense
- Excellent track record of managing and developing individuals and teams.
- Demonstrated driver of motivation and cross-functional teamwork
- Significant Pharmaceutical experience
- Fluent in German & English
- High standards in ethical behaviour
- Strategic & Analytical skills
- Excellent Communication skills – verbal & written
- Influencing skills
