McGill Writing Centre
Position Summary:

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent may perform some or all of the listed general administration functions. These functions are of high complexity and the incumbent performs them using general instruction. This position supports the McGill Writing Centre’s Graphos programming. Current end date is 2023-09-15 with possibility of extension for Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 terms.

Typical Functions:

·  Organizes individuals as well as events such as meetings, workshops and sessions.

·  Conducts training during events, workshops or sessions.

·  Acts as a liaison between the unit and internal or external parties to provide various assistance or information.

·  Creates various reports when needed; possesses data analysis skills.

·  May create and/or facilitate sessions and programs.

·  Acts as a resource person to resolve various issues that may arise during planning, scheduling and events.

·  The list of functions outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks which may be performed by an incumbent. For example, incumbents may be asked to perform some elements of Office Assistant level “A” and/or “B” in addition to the above listed functions.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

· Experience with academic journal peer review, thesis writing, graduate skills development.

· Detail-oriented, organized and solution oriented mindset.

End date:

2023-09-15 with possibility of extension for the Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 terms.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience

Hourly Salary:

(AMUSE C) $23.00
