Responsibilities

Scope of Work

The Layout Artist shall primarily perform the following tasks

• Provide at least two concept design(s) for the cover (front and back) and inside pages of the DepEd Region V REDP (long and abridged versions)
• Redesign and reformat all the tables and figures of the DepEd Region V Regional Basic Education Plan (RBEP) 2022-2028 (long and abridged versions) using Adobe InDesign
• Ensure proper placement of all the redesigned/reformatted tables and figures in the body of the RBEP
• Provide the overall layout design of the RBEP document (long and abridged versions) using Adobe InDesign
• Utilize the available resources from
• Ensure print readiness of the working document/file
• Coordinate and report to the Communications Manager regarding status of work

Note: The Layout Artist must have his/her own Adobe InDesign software as well as equipment to perform/deliver the work. He/she may work remotely and may be requested to report in the ABC+ Office in Pasig, if necessary.

 

Deliverables:

• At least two concept designs of the cover (front and back) and inside pages of the DepEd Region V RBEP
• Redesigned and reformatted tables and figures of DepEd Region V’s RBEP ─ long  and abridged versions
• Proper placement of redesigned and reformatted tables and figures in the main document (DepEd Region V’s RBEP) – long and abridged versions
• Overall layout of the DepEd Region V’s RBEP (long and abridged versions) using style elements of DepEd Region V

Duration of Assignment

The period of performance is from November 25, 2024 to December 20, 2024

Supervision and Reporting

The Layout Artist shall be reporting to the ABC+ Communications Manager and/or Communications Team. An initial briefing/meeting will be set to discuss the deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of proven graphic designing experience
• A strong portfolio of layout design and/or illustrations or graphics done especially for government and/or international organization’s reports, manuals and other publication materials.
• Experience in DepEd project engagements is an advantage.
• Familiarity with design software and technologies, particularly Adobe InDesign.
• Keen eye for aesthetics and details.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability.
• Strong oral/written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently.
