The Department of Learning, Teaching & Curriculum (LTC) at the University of Missouri seeks applicants for two (2) endowed, open-rank positions in mathematics education: the Richard G. Miller Endowed Chair in Mathematics Education and the Lucy Fields-Gallup and Jeffrey Gallup Chair in Mathematics Education (both are 9-month appointments). Successful candidates will have a doctorate in Mathematics Education (or a related field), a national or international reputation for excellence in scholarship, a track record of external funding, and recent publications in top-tier journals. Successful candidates will demonstrate scholarly activity consistent with the University’s status as an AAU member and a “Very High” Research Productive institution.
Faculty filling these positions will maintain an active program of research that complements the research of current mathematics education and College of Education and Human Development faculty. Of particular interest are scholars who, through their research, teaching, or leadership includes one or more of the following emphases:

The individuals in these endowed positions will have a tenure home in the Department of Learning, Teaching, & Curriculum at the University of Missouri – Columbia. The start date is subject to negotiation but is anticipated to be August 2023.
