Revenue Cycle Program Manager (OB/Gyn)

Job Summary:

 

Responsible for ensuring the maximization of the revenue cycle by working in tandem with the Patient Financial Services department on billing compliance within department for both in and out patient services. Assists in overseeing the billing and collection of patient accounts, diagnosing and troubleshooting losses of revenue/ refunds.

Job Duties:

 

  • Assists department leadership with revenue operational functions to ensure revenue flow is aligned with the strategic goals of the department; proactively identifies, diagnoses, troubleshoots and resolves issues or barriers relating to revenue maximization.
  • Collaborates with UT Health Physicians’ revenue cycle, coding, coding education and management teams as necessary to ensure accurate, complete and timely coding and billing activity.
  • Provides financial and business support in the areas of charge capture, denials management, billing and compliance within the department and clinical sites.
  • Serves as an internal liaison with other departments that have revenue, coding concerns/questions; works closely with Compliance to ensure department complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Education:

     

    Associate’s degree is required.
    Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

    Experience:

     

    Eight (8) years experience in related field and/or combination of relevant degree and experience equivalent is required.

    Experience in medical record abstraction and coding is desired.
