Retail Operations Consultant – 12 Months Contract in Toronto, Ontario

What you’ll do

The Retailer Relations team manages the life cycle of our CTP Retailers, including recruiting & training as well as the performance measurement & recognition of our Retailers. The team is accountable for the method of business under which we and the Retailers operate and for the measurement of the Customer Experience Program for Petroleum.

Provide central business support at a national level, with a focus on the maintenance of Retailer contracts and financial data associated with the Retailer settlement process. This position will assist with site implementation roll out, communication and ongoing support of various legal documents, process manuals and will ensure the Field Team is equipped to successfully manage their network of Retailers. This role is responsible for the maintenance of various databases and applications related to how we go to business with our Retailers, ensuring content is current & accurate thus avoiding any potential negative financial implications to Retailers or CTP.

  • Manage and administer the annual renewal process as well as the Retailer Changeover & Onboarding Processes for the entire petroleum network (270+ sites)

  • Maintain and update the AS400 system with new site information, allowance changes, and contract dates. Ensure the integrity of the data and proper set up is executed.

  • Preparation of all legal agreements & amendments, as they relate to Canadian Tire Petroleum and our Retailers.

  • Administer and manage Letters of Credit and associated reporting.

  • Manage and administer the annual reconciliation process with Retailers for specific site expenses

  • Develop and foster strong & sustainable relationships with various corporate partners (Finance, CTP Field Team etc.) working through any issues as they arise & identifying enhancement opportunities.

  • Play a key role in development and/or management of various Business Document Manuals including Site Operations Manual (SOM) as well Changeover Manual (documenting process, roles & responsibilities, expectations etc.)

What you bring

  • Post-secondary education in Business or relevant discipline.

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience is required

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access (managing databases & queries), AS-400 and other related applications.

  • Superior organizational skills coupled with the ability to multi-task, prioritize activities and meet deadlines

  • Strong Business Acumen and understanding of business operations

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong focus and proven ability to manage detailed work and tight deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Adaptable and flexible; ability to navigate changing priorities

  • Bilingual (French) an asset
