Residential Life Events & Engagement Coordinator

A vacancy has arisen for a Residential Life Events & Engagement Coordinator.

The Residential Life Service is committed to enhancing our student experience providing a holistic approach bringing University opportunities and services into the heart of our community. The post holder will report to the Residential Life Manager and will be responsible for planning and delivering student engagement including the delivery of our ResLife programme which is based around the 6 ways to wellbeing.

The post holder will be integral in assisting with the delivery of an excellent student experience in our halls. They will collaborate on projects with colleagues both within Residences and Sport as well as the wider University.

The post holder will also manage our ResLife Service communication strategy to maximise student engagement, working alongside internal and external stakeholders, including the University’s central Communications team. They will be responsible for managing communications via a range of channels, including (but not exhaustive to) our web presence, social media presence and weekly e-newsletters (among others).

The post holder will manage the ResLife Administration Team and support them in the delivery of all ResLife Service administrative tasks. This includes support around the delivery of the ResLife Programme, Halls Disciplinary Panel administration and ResLife Advisor recruitment

The post holder will need a “can-do” attitude and have a strong belief in the value of communicating and engaging with residents. They should have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with experience in the communications and engagement with young people and, preferably, students. Supervisory management experience will also be required.
