Researcher (Mixed Methods) – Listen2Baby project

We are looking for an experienced Mixed Methods Researcher with strong communication and project management skills to work on Listen2Baby, a three-year NIHR-funded project aiming to improve the way that midwives monitor fetal wellbeing in uncomplicated labour, i.e. by listening to the fetal heart at regular intervals. Working closely with the Chief Investigator in the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit, and Co-investigators and the full-time qualitative researcher based elsewhere, you will design and analyse data from simple case-note audit tools; co-convene a lived-experience user group; facilitate and analyse data from focus groups; facilitate experience-based co-design meetings; write academic papers and reports; and provide day-to-day project management.

To be considered for this role you will have a postgraduate qualification in social science or a relevant health-related science; experience of qualitative research and of simple survey design and analysis; excellent communication skills, including with non-specialists; and strong project management skills.
